The „Oberzange” is a smaller version of the „Beinzange” from Benchcrafted. It is particularly suitable for detailed work – since the workpiece is at hip height, where you can work on it more controlled and precisely – and for mobile use. The „Oberzange” can also be used as a classic, permanently mounted „Beinzange” on smaller workbenches. The parts of the kit are entirely made of steel and cast iron. The vise has a clamping range of 140 mm (5-1/2 inches).
Components of the kit:
- Hub with a 51 mm (2 inch) diameter with a spring-loaded pin, burnished
- 267 mm (10-1/2 inch) long vise key with V-groove, burnished, including leather washers
- Two-piece holder, burnished
- Rolled trapezoidal thread spindle with matching CNC-machined nut, 19.05 mm, 4.23 mm pitch (3/4 inch, 6 threads per inch)
- Benchcrafted "Scissor 9"
- Leather or Crubber (a mixture of cork and rubber) for lining the jaws
