Product information
Really hard woods are rarely found in traditional woodworking in Japan. Even the white oak native to Japan is not as hard as the oak found in Europe. Therefore, the tooth geometry of Japanese saws is typically optimized for soft and semi-hard woods. When these saws are used for cutting hardwoods, it can happen that individual teeth break off when cutting beech, oak, or even tropical hardwood.
Now we are pleased to offer relatively affordable hardwood saws from the renowned Japanese saw manufacturer Z-Saw. These saws are equipped with a replaceable blade, which can be easily replaced in case of breakage or if it becomes dull.
This saw is universally applicable for rip cuts, cross cuts, and diagonal cuts, making it very suitable for dovetailing hardwood, for example. A small tip: with hardwood, you need to saw much more precisely than with softwood. In softwood, some connections that are not sawn quite accurately „compress” and the defect is barely visible with luck. Hardwood does not forgive these mistakes.
Teeth impulse-hardened and therefore not resharpenable
