This is the easiest and fastest way to attach a handle to your file. This plastic handle features a hardened threaded insert. Simply screw the file in, and the threaded insert cuts a thread into the file tang. This securely fixes the file in place.
Suitable for most files, such as those from Friedrich Dick, Vallorbe, and Grobet. Nicholson files and Iwasaki carving files have a hardened tang, into which the threaded insert of this handle cannot cut a thread. Therefore, not suitable for Nicholson and Iwasaki files!
