These depth stops by Star-M from Japan feature a freely rotating plastic cap, which stops rotating upon contact with the workpiece. This prevents unsightly marks caused by friction heat when the desired depth is reached. Two cutouts ensure the evacuation of chips.
Example of use
- Drilling with the depth stop installed.
- The depth stop halts upon reaching the set depth.
- Clean hole edge, no scratch marks!
- Measure the depth from the plastic cap to the main cutting edge of your drill bit. Carefully tighten the screw of the depth stop as shown in the picture.
