Product information
What sets this drawknife apart from others is its compact dimensions combined with a relatively high amount of material used. The generous material thickness of the blade makes it extremely stable and it does not shy away from powerful use when higher material removal is necessary. It’s very handy, with ambitions to become your new favorite tool across a wide range of work:
Debarking logs, working with green wood, making bows, paddles, or chairs, also for chamfering edges, shaping curved (convex) workpieces, and much more.
The bevel angle of the blade is 25°, which ensures low cutting resistance for fine work or soft wood. However, the harder and knotty the wood, the larger the cutting angle should be. You can confidently go up to 35°. A full-surface sharpening of the bevel can be bypassed with a micro-bevel.
In a final work step, previous grinding marks are equalized by polishing, without going to excess. It’s more than sufficient for easier gliding through the wood.
Delivery includes an attractive suede leather sheath to protect the blade and fingers during transport and storage. Reinforced with a robust plastic insert and secured with a practical Velcro fastener.
