T-slot rails are typically fastened with screws in a groove with a rectangular cross-section in the workbench. However, they are only held by these fastening screws and can bend under heavy loads. In contrast, OTORO T-slot rails form a form-fitting connection in a dovetail groove due to their dovetail-shaped cross-section, which is significantly superior to a simple, point-based screw connection. The rail cannot bend—even under point load. Screw holes are still included because screwing prevents the rail from shifting. Made from high-quality aluminum that is anodized in eye-catching OTORO pink.
A dovetail router bit with a 14° angle is required for the dovetail groove. You can mill the groove in several passes with any router bit that has a 14° cutting edge and is smaller in diameter than 23 mm.
