Product information
These medium-sized diamond bench stones are suitable for woodworking tools, hunting knives, fishing knives, axes, etc. The diamond particles are bonded to a metal substrate using a stainless alloy. These sharpening plates are too small for flattening the mirror side of plane irons and for flattening waterstones.
Before each sharpening, wet the sharpening surface of the diamond sharpening stone with water! You can work with a certain amount of pressure, but not too much. Avoid applying very strong pressure on the edges of the stones, as this can lead to the removal of the diamond coating! More...
EZE-LAP manufactures a variety of different diamond products. This allows the user to select exactly the model they believe best fits their requirements. The wide selection of diamond sharpeners ranges from small, flat stones that easily fit into a pocket, and compact, portable, round diamond sharpeners, ideal for anglers, hunters, and other people who spend a lot of time outdoors, to larger diamond bench stones.
EZE-LAP manufactures its products with up to five different grits. This wide range of diamond grits allows you to find the right diamond tool for your sharpening application.
According to EZE-LAP, most sharpening tasks can be accomplished with the fine (600 grit) grade. This fine diamond grit has the abrasive properties necessary to effectively sharpen a dull knife in less than a minute and hone the edge to razor sharpness. This fine grit is offered on all EZE-LAP diamond products. Round diamond sharpeners are available only in this grit.
If you need a sharpener that works quickly and still leaves a high-quality finish (suitable for shaving), EZE-LAP offers diamonds with a medium (400 grit) grade for this purpose.
For those who want to finish quickly but still achieve a good quality surface, EZE-LAP offers diamonds with a coarse (250 grit) grade. These diamond sharpeners are well-suited for sharpening axes, shovels, gardening tools, and commercial tools, as well as for deburring.
If you want to remove material very quickly, then use the extra coarse (150 grit) grade for roughing or coarse grinding.
If you want to achieve a very fine surface, then you should try the super fine (1200 grit) grade. The super fine grit is available on some selected flat products.
EZE-LAP products are made in the USA.
