With these saw files, you can sharpen traditional Japanese saws.
They are also well-suited for European saws with very fine teeth and are particularly versatile due to their slender geometry. Saw files with teeth on both sides are primarily suitable for rip-cut saws. With crosscut saws, there is a risk of cutting into the back of the neighboring tooth due to the dense cross teeth, unless you are very careful.
