The saw blades of the ECE saws can be exchanged with each other, provided they are of the same length. The saw arms are made of beech wood. The crosspiece is made of elastic, lightweight linden wood, tensioned with a wing nut on the threaded end of a 5 mm thick steel rod. ECE frame saws are characterized by very good craftsmanship. For all ECE frame saws, the distance between the saw blade and the middle crosspiece is approximately 110 mm. When the blade is rotated 90°, the distance increases to approximately 130 mm. The specified blade length for ECE saws refers to the total length of the saw blades!
