This rasp is concavely curved, meaning the teeth are only on the inner curve, whose cross-section is convex. This makes these rasps particularly suitable for shaping saw handles. The inner curves can be worked on very well with this tool. Thanks to the curve and because the other side has no teeth, accidental damage to the opposite inner side of the handle is almost excluded. Also suitable for modeling other wooden objects that have special shapes.
