The blade on this saw is tensioned so tightly using an eccentric lever that it „sings” when you pluck it. This allows you to saw tighter curves than ever before.
The steel blade holders are rotatable 360° and lock in place every 45°. Unwanted twisting is effectively prevented by a spring mechanism. To rotate, you need to compress the two parts of the blade holder. Once released, the spring pushes them into the notches, making further rotation impossible.
The saw is made from 4.8 mm (3/16 inch) thick 6061-T6 aluminum and weighs only 280 g. The frame is 165 mm deep. It is suitable for 170 mm long coping saw blades with pins (all those you find on this page fit). By the way, some manufacturers always state a length of 165 mm, even though their blades are 170 mm long, probably because they measure the pin distance.
