This roll-up tool pouch is suitable for a variety of tools, particularly for chisels, rasps, and files.
Often, the question arises whether to insert the chisels with the blade or the handle into the fabric compartment. Generally, it’s customary to insert mortise chisels blade first, while carving chisels are inserted handle first to keep the edge visible. This prevents having to remove all the chisels when searching for a specific one.
We recommend: Insert all chisels with the handle first into the pouch, so you can always see which chisel you want to grab. When rolled up, the sturdy fabric positions itself between the blades, preventing them from striking against each other. These roll-up pouches are suitable for most of the chisels and carving chisels we offer. An exception is made for the carpenter’s chisels from Kirschen and MHG, whose handles are too thick. Please check the handle diameter specified in the product description of the chisels.
