Product information
These hair squares are used wherever surfaces need to be checked for flatness. When held against the light, a light gap appears, allowing you to see whether the surface is flat or uneven. With appropriate lighting, deviations of a few hundredths of a millimeter can be detected.
The measuring edge itself is slightly rounded, as it would otherwise be too delicate and is not meant to cut.
The presence of a light gap alone merely indicates a certain deviation from straightness. The amount of deviation can then be determined using a feeler gauge.
