CNC machined 56.5 mm wide, solid aluminum extrusion profile, 6 mm high, with a deep grip recess, extremely stable. Two practical, large-sized openings for hanging and space-saving storage when the ruler is not in use.
The scaling on beveled edges ensures that any parallax errors occurring during sideways viewing are kept to a minimum or almost entirely avoided.
Black anodized, with laser-engraved scaling. The slightly matte surface texture makes the ruler comfortable to grip. Fingerprints do not adhere. Due to the high contrast of white markings on a black background, excellent, glare-free readability. The scaling and labeling in white are not merely printed but are protected within the recess created by the laser. This keeps the tool usable without irritation for many years.
Two different scalings were considered: millimeters (top) and inches (bottom). The latter can be helpful when you want to avoid the sometimes error-prone conversion of units. Especially useful when measurements are only available in inches, such as in construction plans from the Anglo-Saxon region.
Removable stop with two Allen screws (2.5 mm Allen key required, not included). This can be mounted on the left or right, increasing the dimensions of the rulers by 7 mm each.
