The interchangeable pilot drill allows for precise freehand drilling on all workpieces where the hole should not be at a right angle to the material, such as with stair railings. Suitable for softwood, European hardwood, chipboard, MDF. The pilot drill is held in place with a hexagon socket set screw and can also be exchanged for a standard drill bit, providing the same excellent properties as a traditional Bormax. The shaft is completely drilled through in length, allowing for the removal of resinous or jammed tips with an included pin.
The 5-piece Staketen-Bormax set contains drills with diameters of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 mm, two pilot drills with a usable length of 20 to 30 mm, two hex keys (2 mm and 2.5 mm), and is delivered in a wooden case.
