Magnetic Metal Detector by Shinwa

Especially with drywall, this small detector provides useful services. The position of non-magnetic studs like wood can also be found.

Next, roll out the Shoji paper and press it down with a piece of batten - section by section, until you have worked through all the struts of the frame. With a sharp paper or veneer knife, cut off the excess at the edges. After drying completely - preferably overnight - the paper surface is misted with a water sprayer to tighten it. (Misting is not necessary for tear-resistant paper No. 310570)

By moistening the adhesive points, the paper can be removed again. Repairs can thus be carried out easily. Any leftover glue can be reused as regular paper glue.

To locate the metal stud behind the drywall, move the detector across the wall.

As soon as the detector is moved over the area of the metal stands, the magnet inside the closed cap moves forward audibly.

To find non-magnetic stands, e.g. made of wood, a needle located in the housing must be activated. To do this, turn the white arrow on the knurled screw from the "LOCK" position to the "FREE" position (image left).

After use, set the knurled screw back to the "LOCK" position (risk of injury!)

Now the front part is movable and can retract into the housing under pressure. When dealing with a drywall outside the stud area, the needle can be easily pierced through.

In the area of the posts, resistance is noticeable.
