Japanese hatchets and axes
ProGrip clamps are lightweight to medium-duty clamps and stop rails in one, and can therefore be used not only as clamps but also as guides for circular saws and hand routers. They are also very well suited as a guide for the bench drill.
30° rotation capability is not a problem with the Asahi wrench, as you have twice as many contact points as with a conventional wrench.
The eccentric lever (top of the image) is open when it points upwards. Hold the movable clamping collets at the wide black plastic handle and push them towards the workpiece (right in the image).
The movable collets are in contact with the workpiece. The ProGrip clamp is in the "Open" position.
Press the eccentric lever down until it clicks into place. You now have a light clamping pressure.
If more clamping pressure is desired, press the eccentric lever further down until it clicks back into place. You now have increased clamping pressure.
To achieve the highest clamping pressure, press the eccentric lever further down until it clicks into the position shown in the image.
