Flush trim router bits are used for trimming overhanging, laminated materials such as veneers to achieve a flat edge surface. The top bearing guides along the edge surface of the substrate panel, while the cutters remove the excess material. In flush trim router bits, the cutter and the pilot bearing have the same diameter.
