Why do we offer not polished Two Cherries Chisels?
Two Cherries chisels are well known for coming with a highly-polished finish. The polishing process creates a mirror finish on the surface of the steel, which looks very nice, and reduces friction with the wood. But the polishing process, done with a soft wheel, rounds the bevel and the face of the chisel slightly. When one would like to do very precise work with wood, completely flat surfaces are a must. So for those who value being able to do the finest work, we sell Two Cherries chisels that have been ground and sharpened to a very high standard, but with no mirror finish.

Two Cherries chisel set with Japanese saw
consisting of:
consisting of:
3 chisels 10, 20 und 26mm and a Japanese saw "Kataba" type, which cuts on the pull stroke. The saw's unusually short handle makes it easier for those who are only familiar with traditional Western saws to change to a Japanese saw. This saw is not available by itself. Our replacement blade for "Kataba" type saws No. 309301 is also suitable for this saw. Comes in cardboard box.

The "problem solver" tool set made by Two Cherries - in wooden box

1 gouge hollow medium 12 mm
1 paring chisel 20 mm
1 chisel with straight blade 26 mm

This set was designed for use at construction sites, which usually lack an adequate supply of chisels. The 3/16 in. (4 mm) chisel is suitable for cutting mortises; the medium-profile gouge is useful in mounting locks and strike plates; the cranked chisel is invaluable for corner and rabbeting work - the only paring chisel which can be struck with a hammer without second thought. There is a 1 in. (26 mm) chisel for the really rough stuff. This set should be part of every construction tool box! Comes in wooden case.
