Whether you're updating an old workbench or building a new one, you'll need vises. They can be shoulder vises, front (face) vises, tail vises, any or all of the above, according to your own ideas! We carry two product lines: German-made bench screws - front and tail vises, used by well-known German producers of workbenches. These are very precise, rugged, and obviously the product of generations of manufacturing experience. Front vise hardware made in the Czech Republic - good quality and lower-priced. These feature rolled threads, cast-iron bodies, and precise double guides. Handles Opening for handle of the T-piece differ in the different products. Take care to choose the appropriate handle! Installation of front vises is relatively simple and largely self-explanatory. Installation of tail vises is considerably more complicated. You should have some experience in woodworking before attempting to install a tail vise. Rene B. used one of our tailvises in building "masterpiece" bench.
