Before buying a workbench, please consider the following:
A workbench should be placed in a dry room. It will remain stable only if it can maintain more or less the same moisture levels. Read about How moist should the air in a woodwork shop be?
With a hygrometer you can monitor the humidity in your workshop far more precisely than you can just going by the "feel" of the air, which is often very deceptive. Most people underestimate the relative humidity by a wide margin, thinking the air is far dryer than it in fact is. A hygrometer is not expensive and should be brought into operation before you buy or build a workbench.
Workbenches for Children
The table top is made of solid nordic birch, the trestle made of pine. The trestle can be mounted for a working height of 650 or 860 mm. So even grownups can work comfortably, if they do not have the space for a large workbench. The rund bench dogs are made of plastic to take care of workpieces and tools. Die diameter of the bench dogs is 19 mm, thus you have many possibilities to add the Veritas bench dogs for improvements. Made in Sweden.

This short, relatively light bench is distinguished by its fine joinery and traditional construction, with Scandinavian hardware and wooden vice screws. Its compact size makes it ideal for small shops as well as areas such as apartments and ateliers where looks and style are important because the work area is on display. The bench top has a row of square holes for bench dogs, and a central hole of 25 mm (1 inch) diameter for a bench hold down or a vice. Two bench dogs of 18 x 18 mm shaft (head, 22 x 18 mm) come with the bench. The wooden vice screw on the end vice has a 45 mm diameter. The work top is made of beech, cross beams, vice cheeks and the legs and frame are made of hard Scandinavian birch. Please read the assembly directions , before ordering this bench. This will allow you to decide if you feel confident you can build this bench.
