When gardening, one often finds that one's arms are simply too short! Even to pick or prune relatively small trees or climbing roses, one has to clamber up a ladder - with all the risks that can entail on soft ground. With a pole pruner, one can extend one's reach by 1.5 meters (5 feet) or 3 meters (10 feet) dependent one type. With a telescoping pole, and the various heads designed for it, one can reach up more than 5 meters (17 feet) while keeping one's feet on solid ground.

Pole Pruner Head Fixed to the end of a telescoping pole, this pruning head allows one to easily cut high branches. One simply hooks the branch with the end and then pulls on the wooden toggle at the end of the rope. The lever provides a good mechanical advantage to shear the anti-friction-coated blade through surprisingly thick branches. The blade is replaceable. Made by Berger, in Wuppertal, Germany. Fruit Picker This fruit picker can easily be mounted on a wooden pole. But one can obtain a longer and more comfortable reach when it is mounted on one of our telescoping poles. The cloth sack allows one to pick fruit with far less bruising than other methods from the safety of solid ground. The rim is in plastic-coated metal.
