Plastic File Handle
Recommended by the German Federal Institute for Safety and Accident Research, Dortmund. These handles are

These handles are available in three sizes. The larger ones come with an insert usable on both sides for a large range of different shafts.

File handle "Crocodile" with threaded insert
This anti-slip plastic handle allows the most easy way to fix a file in a handle. The hardened threaded insert takes the tang of the file. Just turn the file and the thread insert cuts a thread into the tang and will fix the file securely.
Suitable only for files with tang not hardened, i. e. Fr. Dick, Grobet, Vallorbe. Nicholson files have a hardened tang and the threaded insert of the handle is unable to cut a thread into these files tang.
