Auger Bit FileThis special file has single-cut teeth, and is designed to sharpen auger bits. On one end, both wide faces have teeth, and the narrower edges are plain. On the other end, the faces are plain and the edges are toothed. In this way, the file can be used to sharpen small surfaces very precisely, without damaging neighboring parts.An auger bit is sharpened in only two places: on the main cutting edge, only from the top, and on the edge spur, and there only from the inside.
