Safety advice for the Silky Longboy Pole Saw

Safety advice
  • Before you work with the saw, make sure the locking screw (picture on left) is firmly screwed in.
  • When you walk with or store the saw, make sure the safety sheath is in place covering the blade.
  • When working with the saw, wear a safety helmet and safety glasses.
  • Cut from a spot where you cannot be hit by falling limbs and debris.
  • Block off your work area so that nobody else will walk under a falling limb while you are working.
  • Be careful to store the saw out of reach of children. All of these types of saws can cause an extremely gruesome wound if misused.
  • Use only "Silky Longboy" replacement blades.
  • Warning: Do not use this saw near overhead electric cables!
