An uncommon way to built a workbench. We liked it and present it now here. With the first view it is a workbench for lefthanders (tail vise on the left, front vise on the right) but was built to make working with Japanese planes more comfortable.

This workbench was build by our customer Matti K. from Porvoo, Finland. The plan comes from Bob Key and was modified to build this bench. The bench is made of pine, leg vise and the faces of the jaws are made of oak.

The front vise is on the right to make planning with Japanese planes more comfortable. A Japanese plane works on the pull stroke.

The benchdogs are made of appletree, the springs made of juniper.

The base of the back vise is a RECORD cabinetmaker's vise.
