(1) First release the "trigger" part of the pruner’s hand grip. This unlocks the individual poles and allows them to be adjusted to the desired length.
(2) Locking and unlocking the middle tube. To use the pole, the tube must be locked in place! The middle tube can only be locked in place completely extended or unextended. The hand grip (1) must be open to allow adjustments.
(3) Locking and unlocking the third tube. To use the shears, the tubes must be locked in place! This section can be locked in place every 25 cm over its entire length. The hand grip (1) must be open when adjusting the tool’s length and locking the tubes.

After using the Kengyu pruner and during storage or transport, close the hand grip (1) and lock it in place with the catch. This keeps the shears and poles closed and prevents injury, or damage to the tool.
