The Veritas Bench Stud mounts in a 3/4 inch (19 mm) diameter hole. It can lock into material as thin as 5/8 inch (16 mm) (depending on the strength of the material) and in blind holes 1-1/4 inch (32 mm) deep.

Place the wedge in the hole. Rotate the toggle bar until the wedges lock in the hole.

The 1/2-13 thread offers enormous mechanical advantage, and is fully capable of drawing the post out of the dog hole, even if it has been tightly locked in place. Do not over-torque the wing nut.
